This "bite" is a tiny section of a dance track, repeated over and over. First it's played on a spherical stylus. Then an Elliptical, then a spherical, and so on. It's not much more than 3 notes long, back to back, so you get a pretty instantaneous comparison between the alternating sound qualities. The apparent additional brightness on the 1st, 3rd Etc (which may initially fool you) is actually "splashy" distortion where the spherical stylus is unable to "track" the high level treble properly. Listen carefully to the 2nd. 4th Etc, and you'll notice it's all very much cleaner. And, I can assure you far closer to the digital master, and what the producer intended. | ||||||||||
