This is a track for a client. The WAV's for comparison are: The digital master. A cut replayed, with the lathe running "flat". And, a cut replayed, with our enhancement system. By default, the lathe cutting "flat" has a "slightly more than necessary" top end roll off. This is quite deliberate, and protects against high level, high frequency sibilance without any limiting or compression. Our enhancement system then puts back the "brightness" and "air" by "phase & harmonic" means, without adding any significant level, ensuring high recorded levels on vinyl. | ||||||||||||||||||||
